About Nova Taekwondo

Nova Taekwon-Do is a brand-new martial arts school opening in Okotoks in 2025, founded with a teacher’s heart and a deep respect for tradition.

Mr. Drew, the founder and head instructor, is a lifelong educator who grew up in Nova Scotia—Nova being a nod to the province that first sparked his love of Taekwon-Do. As both a teacher and a martial artist, he saw the incredible impact this art can have on students of all ages: building confidence, developing discipline, and encouraging personal growth that extends far beyond the training floor.

After years of teaching in schools and training in the dojang, Mr. Drew set out to create a space where those two worlds could meet—a place where martial arts are taught with intention, encouragement, and a commitment to excellence.

Nova Taekwon-Do is more than a training space. It’s a community built around respect, perseverance, and the belief that everyone has the potential to grow stronger in body, mind, and spirit.
